Putting it into perspective.
It’s been an incredible start to 2020 to say the least. There’s been so much going on, especially with COVID-19. So we thought it would be helpful to share with you some of the changes you may encounter during your next visit at Capelli Hair Salon. Lots of news daily and what we are being told is changing on a daily basis as to what measures we may need to put in place, but here are some of the measures we feel are important to maintain the Health, Safety and Well-being of yourselves and my team.
Steps that we are taking to keep us all safe
We will ensure that the salon is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to re-opening. Every member of the team at Capelli Hair Salon have passed the Barbicide course in salon sanitation and will make sure that everything we use in regards to equipment will be sterilised before and after every appointment. Every section will be cleaned down and maintained throughout your service.
We are also going to be installing an air purification unit that will filter the air and kill 99.7% of airborne bacteria and viruses.
Individual PPE pack for every Guest.
We will be providing every guest with a Self Care Pack. This will contain a clean Gown, 2 x Disposable towels, a pair of Nitrile gloves and a face mask. There will be a £3.00 surcharge to cover the cost of these items. I’m sure you will understand, as this is an additional cost to us to be able to carry out your service safely.
Social Distancing Measures.
We are committed to social distancing. However as our industry requires us to be within close proximity of each other, we are putting additional measures in place. All consultations will be carried out with us behind the chair talking via the mirror. This goes against how I feel about consultations but this will be the safest way for us to work at this time.
We will have distance between our work stations depending on guidelines. Including the use of screens should we be required to do so. We do ask that you attend your appointments on your own as we will not be able to accommodate partners, children or friends unless they have an appointment with a different stylist at the same time.
Personal One To One appointments.
Personal One To One appointments. Firstly we shall be prioritising our bookings in the order that appointments were booked prior to Lockdown. All appointments may be single bookings. This means that we may not be taking appointments between colour services. This will obviously limit the availability of appointments per day, if we are advised to limit the number of guests in the salon at any one time.
Single bookings will enable us to clean and sanitise our equipment and work stations. We will be removing all magazines and providing takeaway coffee cups in salon .
We shall look at working shift patterns enabling us to keep the salon open longer on some days, in order to accommodate as many guests as possible. As I’m sure you are all desperate to see us.
Temporary Price Adjustment!
We have had to calculate the extra cost involved and the additional time needed for some colour services.
Larger roots = Longer appointments & more product.
Therefore our ”Root Rescue” colour services will incur an additional £20 charge.
The Covid-19 Lockdown has affected many businesses due to us having to close. We will not be able to re-coop those loses and this can have a devastating impact on our economy and could result in permanent closure.
